Coyotita, the young German shepherd who was rescued from a Fresno canal Friday, is back with her owners, the Central California SPCA says.
Coyotita was spotted in the canal near McKinley and First avenues by a passerby, who called firefighters. The shivering dog was lifted from the canal by firefighters and taken to the SPCA, where she was initially identified as a male by officials.
Said spokesman Walter Salvari: “They were very happy to get [her] back.”
The owners were not identified.
