An outage left as many as 746 customers without power in Clovis Friday evening, according to the PG&E website.
PG&E announced a preliminary determination for the outage was caused by an equipment issue.
The power outage began around 5:33 p.m., in the area of Herndon and Temperance Avenues, and it even affected Clovis Community Medical Center, which had to rely on its backup generators for electricity throughout the hospital, an CCMC employee said.
The power is expected to be restored by 8:30 p.m.
As of 6:36 p.m. PG&E reported that 166 customers were still affected.
