An abandoned house was completely burned down Wednesday night in central Fresno.
The fire broke out shortly after 8 p.m. in a single story apartment at Clay Avenue and Bond Street.
Firefighters arrived at the scene and found the house completely engulfed, Fresno Fire Battalion Chief Todd Tuggle said.
The estimate of the damage is not known, but the house was a complete loss. The cause of the fire also is not known, Tuggle said.
There were reports from neighbors about somebody squatting in the house, but the person has not been located, Tuggle said.
The fire made it difficult to check the inside of the structure, but firefighters will continue the investigation.
There were no injuries reported in the fire, Tuggle said.
