Fresno Metro Ministry was named this week as one of ArtPlace America’s 21 finalists for up to $3 million in funding for community related projects.
The multi-denominational ministry was part of a crop selected from 261 applications from community development organizations across the nation. The top six groups will be announced in August.
The winners will receive funding over three years as part of the ArtPlace America Community Development Investments Program.
The grants are designed to assist organizations focused on planning and development in their communities and to help these groups further integrate art and cultural strategies in their revitalization efforts.
Fresno Metro Ministry was one of four organizations selected from California. Only one of these will be selected for program enrollment.
