A 27-year-old Lemoore woman died when her car careened off Highway 41 early Sunday morning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
According to the CHP, the woman was driving a 2014 Honda northbound just north of Bush Street about 5:50 a.m. when she lost control of the car for an unknown reason. She drifted off the highway to the right and down an embankment, hit a tree, tore through about 40 feet of chain-link fence and hit a concrete wall.
The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was dead at the scene, the CHP said. The car was still running when a tow truck driver found it.
The woman, who was the only occupant in the car, was not identified by the CHP and no other information was immediately available.
