CHP: Man seriously injured while trying to give drunken woman a motorcycle lesson

A Porterville man trying to teach a drunken woman how to drive a motorcycle sustained major injuries when the woman crashed the bike, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The incident occurred about 8 a.m. Sunday on Springville Drive. Kimberly Ann Stillians, 31, of Porterville was riding a 1982 Honda with Phillip Robinson Jr. on the back.

The CHP said Stillians was “extremely intoxicated,” failed to negotiate a curve and collided with a chain-link fence and a metal shed.

Robinson was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center.

Stillians was taken to Sierra View District Hospital with minor injuries. She was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.
