A man died Tuesday night after he lost control of his truck and was thrown from the vehicle while driving south on Highway 41 near Easton, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP said the man, described as in his 50s, veered across the highway several times before rolling down an embankment just north of Adams Avenue. He was found several feet from his truck and died at the scene.
A CHP spokesman said the man was “probably not” wearing a seat belt. It wasn’t clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
The accident was reported just before 7 p.m.
