The connector ramp from westbound Highway 180 to northbound Highway 99 in central Fresno will be closed for about eight hours on Saturday to allow crews to make repairs to the highway guardrails.
The connector will be shut down starting at 6 a.m. and is expected to reopen by 2 p.m. The on-ramp from Fulton Street to westbound Highway 180 will also be closed during the work period. Weather or other factors could cause the closure to last longer than scheduled.
Caltrans is recommending that drivers on westbound Highway 180 who need to reach northbound Highway 99 can first go south on 99 to the Stanislaus Street exit, continue south one block on the frontage road to Tuolumne Street, where they can turn left and reach the northbound on-ramp to Highway 99. Drivers can also continue west on Highway 180, exit at Marks Avenue, turn left and get back on Highway 180 east and then get on Highway 99 from the eastbound 180 on-ramp.
