Drivers in downtown Fresno could experience delays for two weeks as storm-drain work closes Broadway Street on weekdays from March 6 to March 20.
The work is part of the first stage of construction on California’s high-speed train system. Lane closures will be in place on Broadway between Inyo and Ventura streets from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and parking will not be allowed on Broadway. The Mono Street intersection will remain open during the two-week project. The schedule for the work may be subject to change.
Signs will be put up to reroute drivers for detours around the work area. H Street and Van Ness Avenue are being suggested as alternative routes for drivers. Pedestrians will not be restricted during the work.
