Larry Martin, who has practiced law in the California for more than 30 years, was elected chair of the Kenneth L. Maddy Institute at Fresno State on Jan. 7.
The Maddy Institute was established in 1999 to inspire citizen participation, elevate government performance and provide solutions for public policy issues.
Martin was born and raised in Los Angeles but he received his bachelor’s degree from Stanford University and then went on to the University of California, Hastings College of Law for his Juris Doctor degree.
He moved his legal practice to Modesto in 1975, then joined E.J. Gallo’s legal team full time for 30 years before his partial retirement.
Martin is the fourth chair of the Maddy Institute.
