No students were injured Wednesday afternoon when the driver of a bus they were in lost control of the vehicle on Avenue 264, east of Road 164, the Tulare County Fire Department reports.
Fourteen students from Outside Creek Elementary School were aboard when the bus slammed into two power poles. One of the lines fell on top of the bus.
Members of a utility company were nearby and shut off power so the students could get out. The bus driver was taken to Kaweah Delta Hospital, treated for minor cuts on his head, and released. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
