Clovis police hunting for serial sex offender after women flashed, fondled

Clovis police are investigating two sex offenses that may have been committed by the same man within 90 minutes in an east Clovis neighborhood.

About 11:43 a.m. Tuesday, a woman called and said a man in a truck near Bullard and Temperance avenues had exposed himself to her, Clovis police said. Officers searched for the assailant but were unable to locate him.

About 90 minutes later, a second woman said she was riding her bicycle when a man in a truck offered to give her a ride while both were on Bullard, east of Temperance. The woman accepted his offer, placing her bicycle in the bed of the man’s pickup.

Shortly after she got into the truck, the man tried to fondle her. She ordered him to pull over and he complied, police said. The woman got out of the truck and the man drove off.

The man later dropped off her bicycle near the same location where he picked her up.

Both women described the assailant as a white man, between 25 and 30 years old, with short, light-colored hair, clean-shaven and a thin build. He was last seen wearing a light-colored, short-sleeve T-shirt.

His vehicle was a small, light-colored 1990s model two-door pickup possibly with a lawn mower or gardening tools in the bed.

The vehicle was last seen near Bullard and Fowler avenues, police said.
