A man’s body discovered Thursday in central Fresno appears to have been there for days, Fresno police said.
Police were alerted about 6:47 p.m., according to Lt. Stephen Viveros. Officers arrived at Crystal and Dakota avenues, saw what appeared to be a homeless encampment and confirmed the death of the adult male.
No immediate evidence suggested foul play, Viveros said, but detectives are continuing to investigate.
That included knocking on doors in the neighborhood Thursday night to learn what, if anything, someone may have seen, Viveros said.
Age and race could not be determined and the body was taken to the coroner’s office for identification.
