Someone has won $1 million with a $10 Scratchers ticket bought at a Clovis supermarket, the California Lottery announced Friday.
The ticket was bought at the Vons store on Fowler Avenue. California Lottery identified the winner as Robert Boyd, but said Boyd doesn’t want to be interviewed or have a photo of him released.
Boyd was the area’s second big scratcher winner this year. On Jan. 2, Paul Geston bought what turned out to be a $1 million ticket at a southeast Fresno convenience store. Geston said he already had won two $1,000 lottery prizes that day.
In early January, it was announced that a couple identified only as Jerry and Gina Villa won $750,000 on a scratcher bought at a Madera pharmacy.
