A jack-knifed semi-truck blocked two lanes of traffic on southbound Highway 99 in Selma Wednesday evening, causing a hazmat situation because of the fuel it was transporting, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The driver reportedly lost control and drove down an embankment near the Mountain View Avenue exit in Selma around 6 p.m. The driver was not injured but was cited for a log book violation, said CHP.
CHP said two lanes were being closed until at least 8:30 p.m. and drivers should use caution and expect delays.
