A two-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on southbound Highway 99 near Olive Avenue caused traffic to back up to Shaw Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol says the accident happened just before 6 a.m. It was on a stretch of 99 that is already constricted because of construction, and other minor accidents and a report of fire in roadside brush along the central Fresno stretch of the freeway caused more snarls for about two hours.
CHP reports at least one person was injured in the crash near Olive Avenue, a 30-year-old man with a reported head injury.
No other details were immediately available.
