Central California Blood Center to hold blood drives

The Central California Blood Center will hold a series of blood drives across the central San Joaquin Valley starting Tuesday.

Donors must be in good general health, weigh a minimum of 110 pounds and be at least 17 years old.

The blood center suggests donors should eat a good meal and drink plenty of water within four hours before their donation.

A photo ID and Social Security number are required at donor registration.

The blood drives will be held at the following locations:

  • July 2: River Park Properties, Riverpark Farmers Market, 7722 N. Blackstone Ave., Fresno, 5-8:15 p.m.; Rancho San Miguel Shopping Center, 1410 Yosemite Ave., Madera, 5-9 p.m.
  • July 3: AAA Fresno, 5040 N. Forkner Ave., Fresno, 9 a.m.-noon; Springville Community, Memorial Building, 35944 Highway 190, Springville, 3-6:30 p.m.
  • July 6: Buggy Shower Car Wash, 230 N. Gateway Drive, Madera, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.; Grocery Outlet, 3566 W. Shaw Ave., Fresno, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.; Sierra Vista Mall, 1050 Shaw Ave., Clovis, 1-4 p.m.
