McCaffrey Homes has broken ground on two new collections of houses in the Riverstone master-planned community in southeast Madera County. The homes are expected to be ready by fall of this year.

McCaffrey was selected to be the first builder in the 2,000-acre development on the west side of Highway 41 and north and south of Avenue 12. The community will have more than 6,500 homes, three elementary schools, a high school, commercial and retail space and more than 200 acres of park and open space.

“As our region expands to encompass the beautiful landscapes of Madera County, we’re honored to be the inaugural builder in what will be one of the Central Valley’s premier communities,” said Robert McCaffrey, chief executive officer, in a news release.

The builder’s Santerra collection will capture the heritage and spirit of California with one and two-story homes ranging in size from 1,598 to 2,880 square feet and up to five bedrooms. Prices start in the low $300,000s.

The Ivy collection will have an American Traditional style of architecture with homes ranging in size from 2,394 to 4,143 square feet. These homes will have flexible floor plans, with an option for multigenerational living, and up to six bedrooms. Prices are anticipated to start in the upper $300,000s.

The collections will have eight new floor plans. For more information or to join an interest list, visit RiverstoneCA.com.
