The California Apartment Association Greater Fresno has a new executive director.
Greg Terzakis, a veteran of government affairs work in the Central Valley, started on Feb. 1, the association announced Tuesday. He replaced Stephanie Babb, who left in November after 11 years, for a position as director of marketing and communications at Clovis Community College.
Terzakis came to the association after 10 months as public affairs manager at Granville Homes. Before that, he was legislative aide to San Joaquin County Supervisor Carlos Villapudua. Terzakis was a partner at Reid and Associates, a political lobbying organization in Stockton, and was a field representative for Rep. John T. Doolittle, R-Calif., in the mid-1990s. He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of San Francisco.
“Greg’s invaluable skills in developing political campaigns, lobbying local government and raising political dollars make him a great fit for CAA,” said Tom Bannon, chief executive officer of the statewide association in a news release.

Terzakis will oversee the Greater Fresno operations, but will focus on advocating at the government level for the rental housing industry.
“In the weeks to come, I look forward to collaborating with members of the rental housing industry, public officials and other community leaders,” Terzakis said. “Together, we can maintain a healthy business environment for the rental housing industry while ensuring that renters have safe, clean and well-maintained places to call home.”
