One of Fresno’s commercial and agricultural real estate companies and a Visalia firm specializing in the dairy industry and farm land have merged to better serve clients in Central California.

Pearson Realty and The Ranch Company announced Wednesday that the two companies have joined forces to create The Ranch Company Dairy Division of Pearson Realty.

The firms have worked well together for years, providing complementary services to mutual clients, according to a joint news release from John Stewart, president and chief executive officer of Pearson, and John Grimmius, founder of The Ranch Company.

Access to more resources and planned succession were two reasons for the move, Grimmius said.

“I look forward to helping younger agents to learn how best to serve the dairy industry,” Grimmius said. “This merger lays the foundation to continue the legacy our team built over four decades.”

The Ranch Company has provided brokerage services since 1965 including auctions, exchanges, and estate planning developing a reputation for its work in the dairy industry. Pearson, established in 1919, is a leader in commercial real estate and agricultural properties.

“Dairy is a top industry in the Valley and the depth of experience and relationships John Grimmius brings to our team is formidable,” said Jim Olivas, Pearson’s senior vice president, farm lands department.

“Our new synergy will benefit not only our clients, but the Valley’s ag community in general.”
