A new assisted living and memory care community for seniors is under construction in northwest Fresno.

Kingston Bay Senior Living, owned by a group of investors including some that live in Fresno, is nestled into the edge of a residential area on West Spruce Avenue, just south of Riverside Golf Course. It is managed by Integral Senior Living based in Carlsbad.

The 86,467-square-foot development will have 61 one-bedroom and 22 studio assisted living apartments and 24 memory care units. The apartments will have granite counter tops, high ceilings and high-end fixtures.

The first floor of the building will have a bistro, fitness center, community room, large dining room and outdoor dining. The second floor will have a sun deck above the dining room, lounge area with computer access, a theater, a library and a creative arts studio. The community is pet friendly and will have outdoor entertaining areas.

One unique feature of the development is an exam and massage room with an on-site physician’s program. Residents will have access to a doctor 24 hours a day whether through video chat or the doctor’s weekly visits, said Daniel Hadfield, Integral’s regional marketing director.

“Our goal is to really bring in peace of mind for our residents and their family members to make sure we can address their needs rapidly,” Hadfield said.

The community is expected to move its first residents in on April 1, 2016.
