A new market rate apartment complex is open in Lemoore and another is on its way in Hanford as demand for housing increases near the Lemoore Naval Air Station.
The first 88 apartments at The Grove, 341 N. 19 ½ Ave., in Lemoore, east of Leprino Foods and Highway 41, opened in April. Another 98 apartments are planned with construction expected to start at the beginning of next year, said Adam Goldfarb, vice president of multifamily at Manco Abbott Inc., a Fresno property management company.
Manco Abbott is managing The Grove, built by Quiring General of Fresno, and Centennial Place, a 176-unit complex under construction at 545 Centennial Drive in Hanford. Idaho-based developer Pacific Partners Residential is building the Centennial project.
“There hasn’t been any new market rate apartments built in Hanford in about 30 years,” Goldfarb said. “There have been affordable properties that are really nice.”

The developments are similar offering one, two and three-bedroom units ranging from $965 in monthly rent to $1,340. Both have pools, fitness centers, a playground or tot lots and picnic areas.
The Grove is about 70% full. Construction of Centennial Place should be completed this fall.
