▪ The California Valley Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals awarded John Carey Sr., owner of Century 21 C. Watson, Outstanding Philanthropist of the Year for his fundraising efforts benefiting Easter Seals Central California. The award was presented to him at this year’s National Philanthropy Day luncheon on Nov. 12.
▪ Matthew McCutcheon joined Family HealthCare Network’s Visalia Bridge Community Health Center at 501 N. Bridge St. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose and also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Trinity College in Palos Heights, Ill.
▪ Susan Yates is the new director of athletics at Clovis Community College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from California State University, Fresno, and her Master of Arts from the University of San Francisco and brings with her nearly 20 years of experience in the athletic and coaching arenas.
▪ HealthCare California added the following to its staff: Zaira Mendoza, care coordinator; Larry Barnes, occupational therapist; Maria Alcantara, physical therapist; and Janelle Avitia and Eric Bergquist, registered nurses.
