Peters Award at the Fresno Chamber of Commerce Valley Business Awards Luncheon, Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, Jim Pardini's acceptance speech paid tribute to his wife Marie for her support. The annual award recognizes individuals for their accomplishments, leadership and commitment to the community. Established in 1984, the award is named for the former owner of Valley Foundry and Machine Works Leon S. Peters, a well-known philanthropist in Fresno and the central San Joaquin Valley. The company was a world-wide supplier of agricultural equipment.
