, founder and former director of Stone Soup, was honored with the 10th annual Werner Lipton Award from the League of Women Voters of Fresno. The Werner Lipton Award was founded in 2006 after Dr. Lipton died and is given annually to a public-spirited citizen who works in behalf of the community.

The award recognizes a CPhA member pharmacist who has participated in outstanding activities in the profession and is recognized by his colleagues for his/her professional advancements.



• The Fresno County Office of Education Regional Occupational Program’s annual Advisory Committee Night recognized the recipients of the 25th annual William F. Noli Award. New Faces

Emilee Brown

joined the law firm of Laughlin, Falbo, Levy & Moresi as an associate attorney.

Dustin Oliver

is the new market president for the Fresno area for Bank of the Sierra. He will supervise and direct the operations managers and branch lending officers, assess risk of all financial transactions executed by bank personnel, direct, coordinate, and monitor activities to implement institution policies, procedures and practices, and generate new business.

Jennifer Soares

is now caring for patients who suffer from adult depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, grief and loss at Adventist Health/Community Care–Kerman. She earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in forensic psychology from Alliant International University and has five years of experience.

Patricia Ojemen-Olise

joined Family HealthCare Network’s School Avenue Health Center in Visalia as a pediatrician. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and has extensive clinical experience serving Valley patients for more than 15 years.

Maria Del Refugio Bonilla

is now a family nurse practitioner at Family HealthCare Network’s Cutler-Orosi Health Center. She completed her Master of Science in nursing with the Family Nurse Practitioner Program at California State University, Fresno, and has 10 years of experience.

joined Paul Halajian Architects as a senior architect. He brings over 18 years of experience in the area of public school design to the firm.
