The World Ag Expo is hosting its first-ever Farmers’ Lunch on the final day — Thursday, Feb. 12 — of the three-day farm equipment show.
Guest speaker will be A.G. Kawamura, farmer and former California Secretary of Agriculture. Kawamura will be speaking in the VIP Event Tent on the expo grounds in Tulare.
The ag expo is the largest event of its kind in the world and draws more than 100,000 visitors from nearly 70 countries.
Expo organizers say they hope the Farmers’ Lunch will become a regular feature.
“Our team continuously seeks to improve our grounds, our events, and our entire show,” said Jerry Sinift, CEO of the International Agri-Center, that produces World Ag Expo. “Hosting the Farmers’ Lunch, and inviting A.G. Kawamura to speak fits in perfectly with our vision of attracting those who are involved in agriculture, particularly those who farm.”
The lunch will be held from noon to 1 p.m. General seating tickets can be purchased online for $35 each, or $280 for a reserved table of eight. Tickets can be purchased at www.worldagexpo.org/farmerslunch.
