Mariposa Grove Road in Yosemite National Park will open for the season at 9 a.m. Friday. The road near the park's south entrance on Highway 41 leads to the Mariposa Grove, the largest grove of Giant Sequoia trees in the park.
Tram tours to Mariposa Grove and commercial services in the grove will open later in the season.
Visitors are urged to drive with caution as snow and ice may still be on the road. The Mariposa Grove Road may intermittently close due to weather conditions.
