Pastors talk about trip to Cuba

Speaker leads talk, ‘Where’s Your Spirit?’

Unity of Fresno, 315 W. Shields Ave., welcomes Barney Coffman as a special speaker at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 30. He will deliver a message titled “Where’s Your Spirit?” and play the didgeridoo during a meditation.

Weekend course in developing healthy relationships

Learn to heal and strengthen relationships with spiritual insights and guided meditation 1-5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, and Sunday, Sept. 13, at the St. Paul Newman Center, Cardinal Newman Hall, Room 104, 1572 E. Barstow Ave. in Fresno. Facilitator Veena Kapoor has been practicing and teaching meditation for more than 20 years. Attendance is required both days for this free course. Armenian celebration of Musa Dagh

The 30th anniversary of Mousa Ler Fresno and the 100th anniversary of the Armenian genocide will be commemorated during a “40 days of Musa Dagh” event from 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Sept. 5. It will be preceded by a 10:30 a.m. church service and a blessing at noon at the peace officers’ grounds next to Camp Pashayan, 7633 N. Weber Ave., Fresno. The event will include Armenian food, dancing and entertainment. More information is available by calling 559-824-5585. There will also be a “Victory Breakfast” at 10 a.m. on Labor Day at the Piccadilly Inn buffet. Food includes American favorites and knafeh and fool. World Day of Prayer

The metaphysical communities of Fresno and Madera will celebrate an “Our World and Ourselves” event, an evening of song and prayer, at 6 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, at The Spiritual Living Center, 723 W. Clinton Ave., Fresno. This is a 22-year tradition in Unity Worldwide Ministries.
