Murs in Visalia

Rapper Murs -- as popular with the hipsters as he is with the hip-hoppers -- is scheduled to perform at Visalia's The Cellar Door on April 22.

Tickets cost $12 in advance, or $15 at the door, but aren't on sale yet.

Watch snvfoundation.org for more details.

Artists are stopping in the Valley either before or after their festival stops. Those include:

* March 30: Surfer Blood at Howie & Son's Pizza, $7.

* April 13: Ra Ra Riot at The Cellar Door, $12-$14.

He'll perform after Friday night's portion of the rodeo, which starts at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and cost $25.

At the Crest

IQ Promotions and the Crest Theatre have added two hard-rocking shows for the spring.

On April 10, Stephen Pearcy, the voice of Ratt, shares a bill with ex-Guns 'N' Roses rocker Dizzy Reed. Tickets cost $25. The show is open to all ages.

On May 21, Nashville Pussy, Green Jelly and Psychostick come to town. Tickets cost $30. It's also an all-ages show.

Tickets to both concerts are on sale now at vallitix.com, at Valentino's in the Tower District or at the Crest Theatre.
