Soccer program registration today
Clovis Junior Soccer League is holding open registration for its TOP soccer program in person from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the CJSL Office, 50 W. Bullard Ave., Suite 109 in Clovis or online at www.topsoccerclub.org.
Registration is open to all children and young adults with disabilities of any kind and costs $45 per player.

Walk for refugees set for Sept. 24
Central Valley Physicians for Humanitarian Aid will host the Walk for Syrian Refugees at 9 a.m. Sept. 24 to raise awareness and funds for the people affected by the war in Syria. The 2.2-mile walk will begin at the Islamic Cultural Center of Fresno, head toward Unitarian Universalist Church of Fresno and return to the Islamic Center for a traditional Arabic breakfast, speakers and various activities. Registration costs $20, $10 students ages 6 and older, $50 per family and free to children ages 5 and younger.
Teen ranch announces fundraiser
Valley Teen Ranch will hold its 15th annual fashion show and luncheon fundraiser 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 24 at Fresno Golden Palace, 2625 W. Vassar Ave. The theme is “Fiesta” and includes a raffle, silent and live auctions. Tickets cost $40.
Proceeds will benefit the Transitional Living Home, a small program serving men ages 18-24 who have aged out of the system. The nonprofit organization provides residential group home, foster care, adoption and transitional living for abused, neglected or delinquent children and youths.
