Visalia police continue to investigate the death of a 15-month-old who drowned in a swimming pool on Friday.
Police say the death occurred in the 3100 block of West Sunnyside Avenue, where officers rushed after an emergency call.
An officer jumped into the pool, removed the baby and began CPR. The child was taken to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, before being transferred to Valley Children’s Hospital in Madera County.
On Wednesday, the child was removed from life support and pronounced dead.
A police spokesman said the investigation centers around the circumstances leading to the child’s fall into the pool.
