The Rogue Festival announced its latest Muse, the work of art selected as the face of Fresno’s annual fringe event, at a Tuesday reception.
Ziang Her created this year’s image, titled “Continuum,” which will be used on programs, posters, T-shirts and badges for the 2016 festival.
She digitized a hand-drawn image of a woman whose white-hot hair is adorned with colorful flowers, making it a cross between fine art and graphic art.
Her was born in Luang Prabang, Laos and emigrated to the United States with her family after the end of the Vietnam War.
A Fresno resident, she is the founder of SlantyPear Creative, a firm specializing in graphic art, illustration and design.
The 15th annual Rogue Festival runs March 4-12. The non-juried festival, which features multiple venues and dozens of acts, includes theater, dance, spoken-word, music, performance art, puppetry and more. Details: www.roguefestival.com.
