In “Infrared Dreams: Art by Vance Hernandez,” the artist uses photo manipulation to incorporate found photos and his own photography.
It opens with an ArtHop reception on Thursday, Nov. 5, at Dynamite Vinyl, 1476 N. Van Ness Ave. and runs through Nov. 19.
Says Hernandez: “My art is an outlet to express emotions such as pain, sadness and loneliness. It is, for the most part, dark. Although, there are some pieces that I’d describe simply as beautiful. It’s very personal work; however, a lot of people recognize themselves in what I do.”
