Rap producer Pete Rock comes to Fulton 55

Fulton 55 is becoming home base for hip hop in Fresno.

The downtown venue has hosted a series of popular rap acts recently, including last weekend’s sold-out show with KRS-One

On Friday, iconic hip-hop producer Pete Rock takes to the Fulton 55 stage. Rock, who is credited with bringing jazz into hip hop, has worked a disparate group of artists — from The Notorious B.I.G. and Public Enemy to TLC, Mick Jagger and Madonna. His work with Kanye West on “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy” earned him a Grammy.

Also on the bill are Slum Village, HANiF, Old Soul and Kam Cooks.
