Organizers of the Fresno Swede Fest are looking for local filmmakers interested in having a little fun.
Fresno Swede 4 is scheduled for Nov. 7 and seeking amateurs and professionals interesting in “swedeing,” the art of making low-budget re-enactments of popular movies.
It was the subject of the 2008 Jack Black comedy “Be Kind Rewind.”
Fresno filmmakers jumped on the Swede idea and local blog The Dumb Are Mostly Intrigued by the Drum (dumb drum.com) started their own Swede Fest last year. Fresno was the first city to host such a festival.
