Disney, which is one of the most aggressive companies when it comes to merchandising for its films, has licensed more “Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens” items than for any other movie.
That’s a lot of items when you consider how many “Frozen” items there are in stores and online.
The “Force Awakens” items include toys, games, watches, shoes, clothing, video games and statues. The collectibles range in price from a few dollars to hundreds for items like the collectible statues or “Star Wars’ themed watches.
Disney Infinity’s “Force Awakens” set can not be purchased until the movie opens because playing it gives away some spoilers including the end of the movie. It will be in stores Friday, Dec. 18.
If you are trying to find merchandise, more than 90% of all the “Force Awakens” items will be available through the Disney Store. The first wave hit in September but there will be more toys released after “The Force Awakens” because they are tied to some of the big surprises in the movie.
There will also be items only available in the Disney theme parks. You won’t have to travel to one of the facilities to get the items as you can find them at disneystore.com.
Also look for “Force Awakens” items at restaurants, jewelry stores and even in the theaters where you will be seeing the movie.
