Countdown to 'Star Wars'

Trix Rabbit feels the ‘Force’

There are several boxes of cereal in stores sporting characters from the “Star Wars” movies including ones with Darth Vader and Yoda. That makes sense because as soon as a youngster (or adult) spots the familiar characters, they are more likely to buy the cereal.

I thought it was weird a few weeks ago when the cover of a Honey Nut Cheerios box feature the Honey Nut Bee dressed as Darth Vader. But, the Bee as Vader is nowhere near as strange as what’s on the cover of Mini Trix.

The Trix Rabbit is sporting a Princess Leia look complete with honey bun hairdo. You would have thought Luke Skywalker would have been a more logical choice but at least the Trix Rabbit isn’t dressed in the slave outfit.

If you pick up a box of Mini Trix, there is a free prize inside. Included is one of six Droid Viewers.

All of this means Trix is not just for kids but also adults who love “Star Wars.”
