Atticus Shaffer stars in the ABC comedy “The Middle” and is one of the voices in Disney’s “The Lion Guard: Return of the Roar,” a prime-time television movie event debuting in November on the Disney Channel. Those two jobs could be a real bonus for the young actor when “Star Wars: Episode VII: The Force Awakens” opens.
Both the network and cable channel are part of the Disney empire. Shaffer is already planning to use the clout he has working on both shows to help him get a seat for one of the early screenings of the upcoming film.
“I’m a huge ‘Star Wars’ fan. I just watched the latest trailer and I am mile high,” Shaffer says.
He’s not only a fan of the movies, but Shaffer enjoys reading “Star Wars” books and the animated series, “Star Wars: The Clone Wars.”
Shaffer has been doing voice work for years. He’s auditioned to be a voice in one of the animated “Star Wars” productions but has had no luck so far because of work schedules.
“I hope to get to do a ‘Star Wars’ voice soon,” Shaffer says.
And, of course, he’s also working on that seat for a screening of “The Force Awakens.”
