Today is Ray Park’s birthday as the Scottish actor turns 41. He’s appeared in a lot of big budget movies including playing Toad in “X-Men.” And, he was Edgar on the TV series “Heroes.”
But, it was his portrayal of Darth Maul in “Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace” that has brought him the most attention. The devilish looking character he played was prominently featured on movie posters.
Park was nominated for two MTV Movie awards in 1999 for his work in “Phantom Menace.” The nods were in the Best Villain and Best Fight categories. He shared the Fight nomination with Liam Neeson and Ewan McGregor.
Next up for Park is the TV series “Mortal Kombat X: Generations.”
