The blending of “Star Wars” with Disney started years ago when “Star Tours” opened. Since the launch of that attraction, Disney has been creating crossovers between the two massive companies.
There have been toys based on “Star Tours” released including a replica of the Starspeeder 3000 that transports park visitors around the galaxy.
Then, Disney started blending famous cartoon characters and “Star Wars” characters. There’s a Donald Duck as Clone Trooper Commander Cody and Stitch - of “Lilo and Stitch” fame - as Genereal Grievous.
My favorite has Huey, Duey and Louie as Jawas.

Now, Disney is blending “Star Wars” and “Cars.” The loveable Mater has been designed to look like a rolling version of Darth Vader. Lightning McQueen takes on a Luke Skywalker design while there’s a tractor made to look like a Stormtrooper.
Even Boba Fett has been cast as a “Cars” character. Chick Hicks has taken on the green and red design of the bounty hunter.
Don’t look for this crossover trend to end.
