When the force of wanting to go back to bed in the morning is strong, Darth Vader can offer some help. Pangian has created a toaster that looks like Darth Vader’s head.

It not only looks like Vader, but the Star Wars Toaster toasts the image of Darth Vader on one side of the bread and the “Star Wars” logo on the other side.

“Right now Darth Vader is the first licensed product that we entered into with LucasFilm and Disney,” Steve Vuernick, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Pangia Brands, says. “We have four or five additional items coming out in late 2015 and early 2016. Darth was the one to lead with.”

What those items are is a secret as big as the plans for the Death Star.

Each toaster - molded in hard black plastic - is selling at a suggested retail price of $49.99. They were a hot item at the recent “Star Wars Celebration.”

Vuernick says that half the toasters sold actually get used while the other half are displayed.

“I tell people this is a collectible that happens to toast. But, some never take out of box. Some will buy it and put it in the kitchen, man cave or dorm room because they are a “Star Wars’ fans,” Vuernick says.
