If you want to hear live coverage of the next GOP presidential debate, you can tune to AM1680 The Answer.

The debate, scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 16, will feature the candidates for the Republican nomination. It will originate at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, where the retired Air Force One 707 will provide the backdrop for the evening’s debate.

“This upcoming debate is shaping up to have the same level of interest as the Aug. 5 debate,” says Skip Essick, managing partner of AM1680. “We’re very proud to offer listeners this exclusive radio coverage.”

AM1680 The Answer will carry the debate as well as pre- and post-debate coverage hosted by Hugh Hewitt, whose radio talk show airs 3-6 p.m. weekdays on the local radio station.

The debate will be moderated by CNN’s Jake Tapper. This exclusive seven-hour live coverage broadcast will begin with the pre-debate special at 2 p.m.

AM1680 The Answer also will broadcast the CNN Republican candidate debates on Dec. 15 from Las Vegas and March 10 in Florida. It will also offer extended election night coverage for the primaries coming up: Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Nevada, March 1 Super Tuesday and both the Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention in the summer of 2016.

“The stakes are extraordinarily high this election cycle,” Essick says. “AM1680 The Answer, through our network partnerships, will offer in depth coverage throughout the next 15 months and establish ourselves as the go-to radio station on the race for the White House.”
