Reporter and TV host Erin Andrews will be the keynote speaker for the 28th annual Central California Women’s Conference on Sept. 22 at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center.
Andrews replaces Viola Davis, the star of ABC’s “How To Get Away With Murder,” who was originally scheduled as the speaker. Davis had to pull out of the event because of production conflicts.
Along with working as a sports reporter for FOX Sports and ESPN, Andrews is one of the co-hosts of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.” She competed in the 10th season of the competition show, finishing third.
The Women’s Conference — 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Fresno Convention & Entertainment Center — aims to empower women. It has donated $650,000 to local women’s and children’s community benefit organizations. The theme of this year’s event is “Ignite Your Body and Spirit.”

Andrews, 37, is the youngest keynote speaker in Women’s Conference history. Previous speakers have included Valerie Bertinelli, Marie Osmond, Jamie Lee Curtis, Geena Davis and Robin Roberts.
Andrews joins more than two dozen other national and local speakers. Among those special guests will be motivational speaker Jean Steel and Emmy Award-winning comedy writer Monica Piper.
Along with the speakers, attendees choose three breakout sessions to attend throughout the day from 24 options. Topics include business and entrepreneurship, health and fitness, money and finance, family and parenting, spirituality and courage, service and activism, and strength and change.
Attendees also have the opportunity to visit the conference Marketplace and Community Corner where more than 175 businesses and nonprofits share information about their products and services.
Tickets are $100 through June 30 and then go to $110 on July 1. Admission includes continental breakfast, all of the seminars, the celebrity keynote speaker luncheon and the afternoon reception. Because the event is expected to be another sellout, early registration is encouraged.
