Pat Hill joins 940 ESPN’s Fresno State football broadcast team

Former Fresno State head football coach Pat Hill will become part of the radio broadcast team for 940 ESPN’s coverage of the Bulldogs starting Thursday, Sept. 3.

Hill will offer color commentary to go along with Paul Loeffler‘s play-by-play call. Former Fresno State and NFL player Cameron Worrell will report from the sidelines.

“Not only did Pat provide great long-term leadership to our Bulldog program, he also helped dozens of college athletes realize their dream of playing in the NFL,” says One Putt Broadcasting partner Chris Pacheco in a press release to announce the hiring. 940 ESPN is one of the stations owned by One Putt.

“He understands football and will give listeners great insight into every game,” Pacheco adds.

Hill was Fresno State offensive line coach for six years before his 15-year stint as head coach. He also spent eight seasons coaching in the NFL with the Cleveland Browns, Baltimore Ravens and Atlanta Falcons.

“I’m fortunate to continue supporting Bulldog Football,” Hill says. “21 of my 41 coaching years were at Fresno State. I raised my family here and I’m proud to call Fresno and the Valley my home.”
