The KFSR Radio Spring 2015 Pledge Drive will include a benefit show of “The Flower Tome Companion” at 4 p.m. Sunday, April 19, at the Tower Theatre, 815 East Olive Ave.
The parody of “A Prairie Home Companion” takes elements used in the syndicated radio program, including comedy, music, commercials and a detective story and gives them a local spin. Proceeds from the show go toward station operational expenses
KFSR DJ Mike Workman hosts the cast, which includes John Aldon, Joey Arriola, Max Debbas, Mike Golding, Ty Kanzler, Larry Lindberg, Karen Marguth, Steve Ono, Valerie Priest, Debi Ruud, Don Weaver and Glen Westersun. KFSR General Manager Don Priest directs.
The show, which first played during Fresno’s Rogue Festival, has been expanded to fit the larger venue, including new scenes and a few special guests who will make cameo appearances.

“We’re all a little nervous but excited,” says Priest. “We feel like we went through the regular season and the playoffs for the Rogue. Now we’re looking to play for the championship at the Tower. And raise money for the radio station. How cool is that?”
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. They are available at www.towertheaterfresno.org.
