Rachael Ray has launched a competition that will give one person the chance to go to culinary school at the International Culinary Center. The winner will get full tuition to either the six-month day or nine-month evening program at the New York school.
Entries will be accepted online at www.rachaelrayshow.com until March 23. Contestants must be 21 years of age or older and must submit a video, no longer than five minutes, featuring them cooking a favorite recipe and explaining why attending culinary school would allow them to make a fresh start.
The top 10 finalists will be asked to submit an admission essay. The winner of the competition will need to meet ICC’s admission requirements. The top three finalists will travel to New York in May to compete in challenges concluding at the “Rachel Ray” studio. The Grand Prize is worth more than $41,500.
To enter, you must be an amateur who has not been paid to cook on a regular basis in the past five years and who has not previously enrolled or graduated from an accredited culinary or pastry program.
