LOS ANGELES -- Authorities say a suspicious object outside an East Los Angeles courthouse was removed by a bomb squad robot and investigators have determined it wasn't an explosive.
Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. David Infante says the county courthouse wasn't open when the box-like object was found shortly before 7 a.m. Monday. Some streets were cordoned off while arson investigators were sent to examine the object.
Infante says he doesn't know what the object was, but it was determined to be non-explosive and the all-clear was given after about two hours.
