POMONA, Calif. -- Investigators are trying to determine whether a man arrested over the weekend for a Southern California killing may be linked to two other slayings.
Pomona police chased 32-year-old Robert Caballero on Saturday and arrested him on a murder warrant. He remained jailed Monday on suspicion of shooting a 25-year-old Pomona man in September.
Sgt. Matt Stone says information developed after the arrest led police to suspect Caballero's involvement in two other killings.
Coroner's officials say a 29-year-old El Monte man was found Saturday under a freeway overpass in Chino and a 32-year-old Covina woman was found later that day in the Mount Baldy area.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is investigating.
