Visalia Oaks 6, Stockton Ports 2

Crucial moment: The Oaks' momentum began in the sixth. The Oaks scored two runs, the first on a Gregory Thomson RBI and the next on Pedro Ciriaco's double. Then, Visalia went on to score two runs in both the seventh and eighth innings.

Breaking through: In the bottom of the seventh, the Oaks removed starter Scott Maine for reliever Chad Beck. Then, the Ports finally broke up the shutout when Josh Donaldson homered over the center-field wall.

Hitting stars: Donaldson went 3 for 3 and scored Stockton's two runs.

Arms race: Beck improved to 3-2 after six shutout innings. He struck out eight.
