Fresno State will host an NCAA softball regional, but the Bulldogs may be without leadoff hitter Haley Perkins. The Fresno State third baseman injured her back in the Bulldogs' first game of the Western Athletic Conference tournament and hasn't played in the three games since.

The Bulldogs' softball team will host an NCAA regional Friday through Sunday at Bulldog Diamond. Fresno State was seeded No. 16 nationally Sunday and will try to advance to the Super Regional round against a field that includes San Diego State, Cal and Sacramento State.
